We are Michael and Mary! Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and consider us in your adoption plan.

We met the night of Mary's junior prom in 2001 and hit it off. We dated briefly in high school and then went to separate colleges on the east coast. We remained great friends and kept in contact, and after college, we started dating, but this time long-distance. Michael lived and worked on the East Coast while Mary began a new business in Louisiana, and then in 2009, he moved back to Louisiana. We married in November 2010.

Adoption feels like a natural fit for growing our family because many of our family members are adopted---one parent, an aunt, both of Mary's siblings, and several cousins. We have always wanted a child, and we are very family-orientated. Bringing a child into the mix would add to the fun!

We would love to experience life, traveling, and learning as a family unit. We feel emotionally, spiritually, and financially stable in our lives. Both of us work from home full-time and have very flexible schedules.

Michael is a social guy who describes himself as witty and spontaneous. He loves being with friends and family and experiencing new things in life. Michael's hobbies include soccer, cooking, travel, funny movies, and Mardi Gras, and he enjoys being active and leading a healthy lifestyle.

He has a Master's Degree in Political Science and has been a Financial Advisor for eight years. In addition, he is active in his community with mentoring and volunteering events.

Michael is going to be a great Dad! He loves children and is very easygoing with his niece and nephews....

Mary is very creative and kind-hearted. Her hobbies include music, art, dogs, swimming, and the outdoors. Mary describes herself as honest, easy-going, and open to adventure. In addition, Mary is very active and loves road-tripping.

She has a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and freelances in Residential Design, Art, and Real Estate.

Mary is going to be a wonderful mom! She loves spending time with her niece and nephews and is very patient.

We renovated our house in 2020, and it is warm and comfortable. We spend much of our time in the kitchen and hanging out in the living room. The kitchen is truly the heart of our home since the kitchen island is central and fosters flow of conversation. Julep's favorite thing is observing the backyard while sitting at the glass sliders.

Our home is located in a safe urban area of a major city. We live near an active park and lake. The lake has a bike path and a nature preserve walkway, and this is one of our favorite parts of the area. Our community is very friendly, so families...

We love traveling, Mardi Gras, boating, hiking, and being with family and friends. Recently we visited Spain, London, Mexico, Florida, Nevada, and Texas. Traveling as a family will be vital to us in the future. We want to raise a child to be well-rounded and have new experiences.

Michael's parents purchased their summer home next door to Mary's parents so they could be neighbors on the same bayou. Being neighbors is fantastic for us because both sides of the family can spend time together. We also have many family friends that are neighbors as well. We spend all our family...

Being "double-loved" is a saying Mary's mother uses to describe their family because most of Mary's immediate and extended family are adopted. The first "love" is the love you give by bringing your child into the world. The second "love" is the love the child receives from their adoptive parents.

We have witnessed firsthand how love can turn difficult decisions into beautiful lives. Our families are living proof of adoption's courageous promise. Thank you for considering us as potential parents for your baby. Raising a child would be the greatest gift.
